When they met, it changed their lives forever…
Just like in the iconic ‘80s classic The Breakfast Club, we know that Young Film Academy programmes can spark friendships and creative partnerships that last a lifetime, and we want to continue to make a space for them to flourish.
Join us on 8th January 2027 at Everyman Cinema Broadgate for a morning of film, reconnecting and conversation with your fellow YFA students and alumni. We’re inviting students to share something you’ve created outside YFA programmes. Whether it’s a short film, music video, documentary or something you’re proud of, this is your chance to see your work on the big screen in front of your peers. You can also just come to watch and catch up with familiar faces over coffee and breakfast. Admission is not restricted to YFA students, feel free to invite people you’ve made films with or any interested friends!
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, you’ll be invited to submit a link to your film for the screening. The price of the ticket includes a hot drink and pastry.
You told us you want support after you turn 18, and we’re listening…
We’ll also be hosting a conversation during the morning about the future of Young Film Academy and how we can support you once you’ve aged out of programmes such as our Residential Filmmaking and Acting Summer Camp. We know that the transition from school into a creative career can be challenging, and we want to explore how we can help you keep making films, developing your skills and building creative connections long after your YFA experience. Come and reconnect, share your work and help shape what we do next. We’d love to hear your ideas about how YFA can continue to support you on your filmmaking journey.
