In this modern world, honing your acting skills for screen is now just as important as acting for the stage, whether that be self-taping for auditions, TV or film work. Many of our aspiring young screen actors have asked us recently how they go about getting an agent, and how they might begin their acting careers professionally. If you are a passionate actor looking for guidance when making the first steps towards getting signed by an agency and gaining roles in Television and Film, then this is the course for you! To help you progress, Young Film Academy now offer 1:1 Private Screen-Acting packages for ages 12-17, which take place remotely in your home via Zoom.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

One of our experienced Screen Acting tutors connects via Zoom and helps the student to prepare an industry-ready portfolio to maximise their chances of getting representation. This live private tuition will be completely bespoke, and will teach the student vital industry knowledge to get them ready for the next step in their acting careers!

Remote course, 4 x weekly sessions, 1 hour per week, prices are based on a per student basis.

Private course bookers can choose 2 options, either a 4 week course or an 8 week course.

4 Week Private Remote Screen Acting Course £480

  • Pinpointing the student’s individual goals and devising a strategy on how they might be achieved
  • Help creating a CV to make sure you stand out
  • Agent recommendations and identifying which agents might be right for you
  • Advice on covering letters to talent agents, and each agency’s specific applications process (note: we cannot guarantee that the student will be signed)
  • Headshot photographer recommendations
  • Reviewing full headshot photo catalogue to select best headshots
  • Finding scripts suited to the student’s particular casting
  • 1:1 rehearsal time on these scripts with an experienced acting coach
  • Self-taping like a pro! Create 1 high quality self-tape to send to prospective agents
  • Building confidence and screen acting technique

 

 

8 Week Private Remote Screen Acting Course £840

  • Everything from the 4-week course and more!
  • Create 3 high-quality self-tapes across different genres to send to agents – showcase your range!
  • OR Create 2 high-quality self-tapes and prepare a monologue for drama school auditions
  • More extensive development of screen acting skills, including advice on approaching a script and building a character
  • Experience a mock audition – what to expect and how to create a great first impression!
  • Identifying key casting directors and learning how to approach them
  • Looking at accents and strengthening vocal abilities
  • Advice on how to apply for jobs whilst looking for representation

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO RUN THIS COURSE?

– an internet connection capable of reliably streaming video

– any camera device (e.g smartphone, iPad, DSLR, video camera etc)

– a laptop or desktop computer

– ideally a quiet space for working

OPTIONAL:  additional filmmaking equipment you may have that could be used

Dear YFA team, Thank you so much for turning this difficult time into such a positive experience.
